Roosters reshuffle ahead of Broncos blockbuster

THE Roosters will be without Queensland back-rower Aidan Guerra for Friday's blockbuster against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Guerra suffered a broken cheekbone in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Sharks, and will be sidelined for six weeks.

Mitchell Aubusson replaces Guerra in the back row, with Dylan Napa returning to the bench.

However, prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (calf) has been named to start.

For the Broncos, star centre Justin Hodges (hamstring) and prop Adam Blair (corked thigh) are unlikely to play, after not training yesterday.

Out of favour winger Daniel Vidot is set to remain in first grade for at least another week, while Dale Copley will play in the centres.

Fullback Jordan Kahu (hamstring) is set to remain sidelined after he was a late withdrawal for last Friday night's clash with the Titans, with Lachlan Maranta to play in the No.1 jersey.

Sam Thaiday returns to the starting team at prop in place of the benched Jarrod Wallace.

Ben Barba will make a return to the Sharks via the bench, with star rookie Jack Bird to keep his spot at pivot, against the Knights at Remondis Stadium on Friday night.

For Newcastle, Beau Scott (ankle) is out for a fortnight, meaning Chris Houston is promoted to the back row.
