Rocks@lt gets the vote as readers' favourite restaurant

ROCKS@LT has been voted Gladstone's favourite restaurant by Observer readers.

In a Facebook post over the weekend asking readers what their favourite restaurant was, Rocks@lt was the clear winner.

The popular restaurant, in Roseberry St in Gladstone's CBD, is co-owned by Kellie Bebendorf and her brother Jason Faint.

Harvey Road Tavern also was popular, scoring the next highest number of votes.

Virginia Leigh said she liked the tavern because it had a playground for her kids.

Also popular were Scotties, Table on Flinders and the River Café at Tannum Sands.

Gecko Valley Winery also got a couple of mentions.

The list of restaurants mentioned was more extensive than you might expect, and also included Ribs and Rumps, the Queens Hotel, Coffee Club, Yaralla Sports Club and The Brasserie.

Home-cooked meals also got a mention, as did McDonalds and Hungry Jacks.

Rocks@lt won the restaurant section in The Observer/Westpac Best in Business awards in 2010 and 2013.
