Mastin fans count days until summer nights heat up
GLADSTONE fans are already "shouting it out'' as Reece Mastin tickets began selling like hotcakes at 4pm on Wednesday.
The tickets for Mastin's concert on January 10 are already selling quickly, with parents and teenagers making immediate calls to the Gladstone Entertainment Centre to secure their spot.
Full of enthusiasm, Mastin, 17, said he was looking forward to visiting Gladstone.
"I went to Townsville for the first time earlier this year and the turnout was immense," he said.
"The 'Lil' Rockers up in Queensland are so rad.
"I'm really looking forward to sharing my new album with all the 'Lil' Rockers too."
The trendy 2011 X Factor winner has continued to make a name for himself throughout the world, and his upcoming tour is set to capture hundreds of new fans
"I love being able to wake up every day and do what I love," Mastin said.
"Some people my age are going through their HSC right now, but for me to be able to have had the last year that I've had and be releasing new music that the kids want to hear, really makes me happy."
And fans are pretty happy too.
When asked if she had bought a ticket for Mastin's concert, 15-year-old Jordi Wale squealed with excitement.
The Toolooa State High School student is already counting down the months until Mastin makes his debut appearance in Gladstone for The Summer Nights Tour.
"I love everything about him," she said.
"His looks and his voice."
Jordi said she had already bought three tickets.
"I bought extra tickets for friends," she said.
Jordi, who bought online and on the phone, said she was delighted Mastin would be coming to Gladstone.
"It's Gladstone and nothing ever comes here," she said.
