ROB Hope lost two years of locks this afternoon as he raised $2130 for Leukaemia Foundation.

Fittingly, Rob's partner Tash Sense cut his hair since it was a bet between them to see who could grow their hair the longest.

The Workforce International Central and North Queensland regional manager won the bet as Tash looked like a "librarian" when she had long hair.

"At that point it was too late to cut it" for Rob.

He said he wasn't just going to cut it off willy-nilly

"It would have been a waste of two years if I didn't raise any money," he said.

In preparation for the big shave Rob washed his hair and put on his best suit.

It took about ten minutes for Tash to cut Rob's hair with huge piles falling on the ground and his lap.

"Oh that feels weird," he said as he ran his fingers through where his long hair once was.
