With a great deal of rain falling in the region over the last couple of hours, drivers are asked to be particularly careful.

These are the latest closures. This information was correct as at 6.10pm, Tuesday, February, 3.

Western Region:

  • Blackgate Road, Wooderson - Closed
  • Dinner Crossing, Tableland Road, Calliope - Closed

Southern Region:

  • Fingerboard Road, Miriam Vale - Closed due to flooding at Alligator Flats
  • House Creek, Miriam Vale - Water over road
  • Lowmead Road, Lowmead - Water over road
  • Big Oakey Creek, Blackmans Gap Road - Water over road
  • Sheep Station Creek, Lowmead - Water over road
  • Gin Creek, Lowmead - Closed
  • Baffle Creek, Gorge Road - Closed

The latest road report details eight roads that are closed, or have water over the road.

It was issued at 2.35pm.

  • Fingerboard Road, Miriam Vale - Closed due to flooding at Alligator Flats
  • House Creek, Miriam Vale - Water over road

UPDATE 1.50pm:

The downpour in Gladstone has left seven roads and a camp ground closed due to flooding.

The Calliope River South Side Camp Ground has been closed due to the flooding.

Gladstone Regional Council is monitoring the location and will reopen when it's safe.

UPDATE 10am:

NAGOORIN residents are flooded in after this week's downpour - with one resident, Neridah Armstrong recording 170mm in three days.

Ms Armstrong took this photo at 8am today at the Nagoorin bridge.

She's expecting the water not to receed for another seven hours.

"My daughter went to work at 5am and she won't be getting home in a hurry.

"This happens every time we get 150ml and the water comes down off the mountains.

"It's extremely frustrating, I've lived out here for just over three years and every wet season we are flooded in or flooded out," she said.

UPDATE 8.30am:

The roads at Alligator Creek and Needle Creek between Miriam Vale and Agnes Water are still closed following last nights downpour.

Gladstone Regional Council worker Paul White had to turn around and go back home this morning at 5.30am when he was faced with a flooded Needle Creek.

The Agnes Water resident of 14 years travels to Gladstone everyday.

"It would take at least 6hrs to go down unless more rain in the catchment area," he said.

DRIVERS have been warned not to cross Fingerboard Rd due to it being flooded.

Two hours ago the Gladstone Regional Council advised residents to drive safely within the region, and to avoid Fingerboard Rd due to it having water over the road at Alligator Flats.

Overnight rain has poured down in the Gladstone region.
