Road closed for works

WICET is undertaking significant works on and across Reid Road, with the closure being undertaken in the interests of public safety. Therefore, Reid Road will be closed approximately 2.3km from the Gladstone-Mt Larcom Road intersection, or 500 metres past the Mount Miller Road rail siding, through to the Calliope River.
The road will be closed to both pedestrians and traffic with the exception of authorised construction, maintenance and emergency services personnel and vehicles. Members of the public accessing the northern section of Reid Road toward Gladstone-Mt Larcom Road may also experience delays due to project-related activities and roadworks. A Traffic Management Plan has been developed in conjunction with Council, and will include illuminated signage and reduce speed limits in the area.
WICET urges road users to take particular care in the area for their own safety and that of project employees.
WICET is working to minimise any inconvenience for road users and thank the public for their patience and cooperation during construction.
