Pedestrian killed after being hit by car at Raceview

LATEST: A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Raceview on Wednesday afternoon.

Preliminary information suggests a car travelling west on Jarrah Street stuck a male pedestrian at around 5:15pm.

A 31-year-old Raceview man was attended to by paramedics but was not able to be revived and was declared deceased at the scene.

It is believed the man was out walking his dogs when he was hit by the car.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured in crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

EARLIER: Police have confirmed one person has died following an accident at Raceview on Wednesday afternoon.

A car and pedestrian collided at Jarrah St about 5.15pm.

The road is currently closed and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.

The forensic crash unit is investigating.
