Ridiculously cheap fuel prices in Gladstone today
GLADSTONE has the fifth cheapest fuel prices in Queensland today at just 113.6c a litre.
The average price of fuel in the 4680 postcode is just above the historic 113.5c a litre mark that the city's motorists enjoyed on August 25 last month, the cheapest since May 2009.
But a two-hour drive down the road to Bundaberg bowser's would give you the state's third cheapest fuel at 111.6c a litre.
Our city is marginally behind Townsville at 113.1c a litre while Toowoomba at 108.1 a litre and Townsville at 104.9c are enjoying the state's best fuel.
Our average fuel price is rated as "fair" by RACQ's Fair Fuel Price tracker.
But some motorists are reporting discrepancies in fuel prices, with one, Geoff Graham, saying there was an 8c difference between Woolworths' Kirkwood service station and its CBD's.
Cunnamulla has the state's worst fuel prices at 145.4 and Blackall came in second worst at 136.1.
Neighbouring Rockhampton has an average price of 127.0c.
