Rider suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

POLICE are investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash this afternoon that has left an Ipswich man with severe injuries.

The rider was travelling along Pine Mountain Rd at Pine Mountain about 3.20pm when he lost control and crashed through a fence.

Police say the 41-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and has been rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit and Scenes of Crime have partially blocked the road as they inspect the crash site.

Queensland Ambulance Service says the rider's injuries include significant abrasions and he is in a stable condition.
