Residents ready for a week of culture

IT'S the one week of the year that you do not need to feel guilty about eating lots of food. You can also explore the diversity in a variety of cultures and take part in one of Gladstone's biggest events.

This year, Multicultural week will be held from August 26 to September 4 - and the Gladstone Regional Council has plenty in store for residents wanting to celebrate.

The Multicultural Festival will run on Sunday, September 4, at the marina from 9am.

To kick off the festivities, there will an official opening at the Leo Zussino building on the first day of Multicultural Week, Friday, August 26, from 6pm.

There will also be activities and events all throughout the week with a buffet at the Yaralla Sports Club and Indian Fijian night at the Lightbox just to name a few.

The festival has been running since 1998 and always has residents fully packing out events each year.
