Residents get the chance to see progress of new estate

THE Sands residential development in Tannum Sands hosts a sneak preview of its progress on Sunday.

The Sands sales manager Erin Phillips said event came about after there was a significant amount of interest from nearby residents keen to see how the project was progressing.

"The Sands has been a major construction site for the past six months," Ms Phillips said.

"We've had lots of heavy vehicles entering the site from early morning until late afternoon each day, and a solid workforce operating six days a week to keep the project on track.

"As a result, it's been really difficult to get people on site, so this Saturday is the perfect opportunity for local residents to come along and see the significant progress that the local contractor, Shadforths, has made.

"I think visitors will be really impressed with how the development is looking, particularly with its wide roads, abundant footpaths, large block sizes and ocean views with cooling sea breezes.

"The development is very close to completion.

"It's really impressive and I am sure many people will be surprised at how much progress we have made.

The open day runs from 10am-2pm at the top of Broadacres Drive off Tannum Sands Rd.
