CAMPBELL GELLIE

What I'm reading: Student prefers research books

Name: Tess Campbell.

Occupation: Student and business owner.

What are you reading? Teaching Primary Mathematics by George Booker, Denise Bond, Len Sparrow and Paul Swan.

Have you read 50 Shades of Grey? No I haven't. I didn't want to give in to what everyone else was doing.

What type of books do you read? I love reading books that are more research based. They improve my knowledge and it feels like I am reading for a reason.

Who is your favourite author? Andy Griffiths. I had the opportunity to meet him when he was in Gladstone.

He was one of my favourite authors growing up. He was really inspiring in person, he was funny and teaching the children to write stories.

Who got you interested in reading? My mum Robin McPherson, because she reads every night and read to us as children.

Hard copy or electronic? Hard copy. I just get overwhelmed with too much technology. I like reading at night time.

If you wanted to read a book but then it was released as a movie, would you watch the movie first? No, I'd read it first. It's a bit of a sliding scale.

If I was interested in it I would read it but if I wasn't that bothered I would watch the movie.

How often do you go the library? I come to the CQ Uni Library every day. The library staff here are amazing.

They know everyone by their names. Before I was studying I would still come once a week for the books and free DVDs.
