Rescue helicopter treats 38yo man with left side paralysis

RACQ Capricorn Rescue was tasked to rescue of a 38 year old man from an oil tanker, approximately 70 nautical miles north east of Gladstone last night.

The helicopter hovered above the tanker and winched an intensive care paramedic down to the ship's deck to treat the patient, who had left side pain and paralysis.

The patient was winched aboard the helicopter in a serious but stable condition.

RACQ CAPRICORN RESCUE delivered the patient to awaiting QAS paramedics in Rockhampton at 6:30pm.
