THE Gladstone region is a giving one. Yesterday, the contributions of 70 Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited volunteers were recognised at the Ambassador Recognition Luncheon.

Guest speaker and Chairman of the Board Peter Corones AM presented the ambassadors with recognition badges for five, 10, 15 and 20 years service.

Mr Corones spoke of the importance of volunteers and the outstanding commitments made in the Gladstone region, Banana Shire and Central Queensland.

"Our ambassadors are a real asset," he said.
