Dela reading for food remedies to help sore foot

Gladstone's Dela Cruz shares what she's reading and why....

Name: Dela Cruz

Occupation: Stay-at-home mum

What are you reading at the moment? Doctors Diet, written by Travis Stork. I watch the television show sometimes but the book always has more information. It's all about keeping fit and healthy. It's really good for home remedies. I'm reading it because I'm trying to find the best food for my husband to eat while his foot is sore.

Who is your favourite author? I don't have a favourite as there are so many I like. I read a lot of childrens book as I have two of my own. I don't spend a lot of time reading one particular book.

Do you prefer the movie or the book? Both; I don't really have a preference. If I really like a book I will watch the movie and vice versa.

How often do you come to the library? Every Saturday with my children. My eldest daughter loves to read. She's only in Grade 5 but she reads at a Grade 7 level. Some of the books she reads are thicker than what I'm reading. It's great she is so into it. I was never massively into reading as a child so I'm proud of her.

Do you have much time to read?

Not really. Although I'm not working I still have a lot to do as well as looking after my children. I have many books at home but never get a chance to read them. I would like to have more time for reading. At the moment I probably only get a few chances a week.

What genre of books do you read?

I have a dentist background so I like to read about dental health-type books and cooking. It's very interesting to see how the two interplay.
