STEPHANIE Durkee had to do a double take when she first set eyes on her newborn kitten.

The furry feline, born in the US state of Oregon, has two faces.

According to Sky News, Ms Durkee said her kids were the first ones to discover the kitten had two faces but she thought they were just "tired and crazy" when they told her.

The one-day-old kitten, which has been named Ducey, has two faces, three eyes, two noses and two mouths.

Despite his rare features, vets have given Ducey a clean bill of health. But two-faced kittens, known as "Janus" cats, rarely reach adulthood and usually have lung problems.
