Rampaging Gilmour sets up The Glen

A GREAT bowling performance from Chad Gilmour gave The Glen a comprehensive victory over BITS at Sun Valley Oval on Saturday.

After snaring the BITS captain Dave Webber early on, Gilmour went on to collect four wickets and level the visitors for just over 100 runs.

The impressive part was the opening bowler kept BITS from any momentum on the scoreboard.

From his eight overs, Gilmour allowed only six runs, seemingly doing nothing different to his normal left arm pace.

"I have never done anything like that before," Gilmour said.

"I just bowled line and length and they missed the ball," he said.

The Glenhad begun the season inconsistently with results to match.

Gilmour was confident the team could be a handful for the rest of the season.

DETAILS:

  • BITS 10/103
  • Chad Gilmour 4/6
  • Michael Matz 2 wickets
  • Jason Miner 2 wickets
  • The Glen 1/104
  • Josh Hall half century
