Rain fails to dampen wedding ceremony

SCOTT Fulloon made the grandest of relationship gestures in a memorable way.

Mr Fulloon proposed to his now wife, Anne-Marie, at the Grand Canyon Sky Walk, during a month-long United States holiday.

On August 18 they wed and not even the rain could ruin it.

The Gladstone locals had a traditional wedding, with a ceremony at the Cedar Galleries and a reception at Rydges.

There were 67 guests including family and friends, some of whom travelled from Sydney and Brisbane to celebrate the marriage.

"We had the horse and carriage and everything ... but that was cut a bit short from the rain," Mr Fulloon said. "But apparently it (rain) makes for good luck," he laughed.

Three bridesmaids and groomsmen accompanied the newlyweds in the wedding party.

They continued the celebrations by heading back to the US for a honeymoon - where they travelled to Hawaii, LA, Las Vegas, Chicago and more.
