Radio news man pleads guilty on one child abuse charge

A FORMER radio identity has pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing child abuse material.

Nicholas Francis O'Callaghan, 53, who was a news director of Radio 2CS-FM and Star FM in Coffs Harbour,  did not front the Port Macquarie Local Court yesterday but his legal representative entered a plea of not guilty for five other child abuse material charges and one count of aggravated indecent assault of a child.

A hearing and sentencing date has now been set for July 25.
