Rachael shocked by her Bachelor elimination

RACHAEL Gouvignon didn't see her Bachelor elimination coming.

The Perth support worker said she felt confident going into tonight's rose ceremony after introducing Bachelor Richie Strahan to her family.

"I was very confident," she told APN.

"I was quite shocked that that happened really. I didn't see it coming at all.

"I don't regret it. If anything I enjoyed that we got to do that (the hometown visit) together as a family. The dinner with Richie brought us together and it's something we can treasure and laugh at."

Ms Gouvignon hit back at claims she stepped into Keira Maguire's shoes as the show's 'wicked witch', putting it down to her dry sense of humour and editing.

"I think I'm funny. My friends get it because they know me," she said.

"But if you don't know me it could come across shock horror, like what did she just say?

"I have a dry sense of humour and I'm not sure Australia really understands it."

She hopes fellow Western Australian bachelorette Nikki Gogan will be crowned the winner in next week's finale.

"I would talk a lot with Nikki about my relationship and hers with Richie, so I knew the extent of how much she had fallen for him quite early on," she said.

"I don't want to see one of my best friends in the house get heartbroken."

The 31-year-old said she will re-entered the Perth dating scene once the dating show is finished.

"There was no point in getting in any sort of relationship or putting myself in any situation where we wouldn't be able to go to dinner or do the simple things," she said.

"Summer's coming and romance will hopefully happen."

The final two episodes of The Bachelor air next Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
