Qld job vacancies up, NSW down
THE number of total job vacancies across Australia in August jumped 1.2% from May.
Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show there were 147,000 vacancies nationwide in August.
The biggest increase was in the public sector, with an increase of 8.8% from May.
There were more than 12,600(correct) job vacancies recorded.
But the private sector also suffered a hit, with a spike of 0.6% and 134,600 job vacancies.
Queensland's job vacancies were up from May, but New South Wales vacancies have decreased.
