QLD teenage girls plot to kill girl they met online

A PAIR of 16 year-old girls who allegedly waited with knives and a length of rope in a shopping centre toilet, for another girl they were planning to kill, have faced court.

The Gold Coast Bulletin reports the girls hatched the plot in January this year and that it was foiled when shoppers at the Australia Fair Shopping Centre noticed them behaving suspiciously in the toilets.

After Police were called an inspection of the girl's Facebook messages allegedly revealed they were waiting to kill a girl they had met online and even contemplated stabbing the next person who walked into the bathroom.

The pair were initially charged with conspiracy to murder however those charges were downgraded to making threats in a document - which both girls pleaded guilty to - they will be sentenced in Southport District Court next month.
