Public nuisances keep local police busy over weekend

GLADSTONE police issued numerous public nuisance charges over the weekend.

A 22-year-old woman was charged with public nuisance after an incident involving allegedly violent behaviour at 4.30am on Saturday.

Three men aged 21, 22 and 32 were charged with public nuisance after police caught them joy riding with a person in the back of a ute on Saturday at 2.30pm.

Further weekend charges included a 32-year-old man being charged with public nuisance at 12.30am on Sunday after an incident in Mellefont St.

At 1am, a 21-year-old man faced a similar charge on Roseberry St.

 Then at 2.40am, police charged a 31-year-old man with public nuisance on Goondoon St.

Police also charged a number of drink drivers over the weekend.

A 46-year-old man was breath tested in Satinay St at 12.45am on Sunday and allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.246.

At 1.15am on Sunday, a 33-year-old woman allegedly returned a reading of 0.140.

Fifteen minutes later, a 29-year-old woman allegedly returned a reading of 0.106.
