Psyclones softball team blows 'em down

YOU win some, you lose some.

And after Saturday's A-grade womens' softball competition, the ladies from the Souths and the Psyclones had stories to tell.

With the Psyclones playing the double header this week, they managed to take a win for both games at the Gladstone Softball Grounds.

Souths were the first ones to feel the Psyclones' wrath, going down 14-10.

Souths stand-in captain Jeanene Groves said although their team played well, they were still getting into the swing of things.

"We're just ironing out a few pre-season hiccups, we should be ready for our double header next week," she said.

Psyclones key player Michelle Moore said she was proud of the team's efforts - "especially Tollie Gillam, who pitched for both games. That's a remarkable effort".

The Psyclones also defeated Telfords by 9 points (13-4).
