Psyclones and Souths walk away with large margin wins

PSYCLONES and Souths came out victorious in their A-grade softball matches at Memorial Park on Saturday.

With excellent pitching from Pysclones' Beck Watson, her team dominated Telfords 16-3.

Senior vice-president of the Gladstone Softball Association and Telfords player Christine Heisner said it was an extremely hot afternoon with her side struggling in the game due to their usual catcher being rushed to hospital during the B-grade game due to the heat.

"There is some great softball being played in both the juniors and the seniors," Heisner said.

Showing their experience on the field on Saturday was the Souths team who overcame the under-15 development squad 11-6.

Georgia Armitage's excellent season continued on Saturday, with the Souths player hitting another home run in the match.
