Baby's death not suspicious

POLICE have declared the death of a newborn baby in Gladstone as not suspicious.

The baby, reported to be a three-week-old boy, died in the central Queensland city on Tuesday night.

Central region crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Jon Wacker told The Morning Bulletin a crime scene had been established at a Gladstone home as officers investigated the death of the boy.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
