Need a gift for dad? Here are some ideas

FATHER'S Day is fast approaching - meaning families will flock to hardware stores and shopping centres to find the perfect gift.

Stockland Gladstone marketing manager Terri Hewerdine said people need to consider "what type of dad he is".

"Buy a gift based on that - does he love fixing things, even when they don't need to be fixed," Ms Hewerdine asked.

"Or is he always going for a run at the crack of dawn?"

Stockland Gladstone has collated some of its greatest gifts for dad.

Beach Arts and Music market stall co-ordinator Cecily Burkett said those needing a last-minute gift should find something at the event.

"We will have the usual variety of stalls with plenty of gift ideas," she said.

She expected the stall specialising in timber signage would be a hit for Father's Day gifts.
