Power surges to a Green energy for Port City in 2019

BASKETBALL: Gladstone Port City Power Capricorn Surge have boosted its coaching ranks with the appointment of club legend Daniel Green.

The ex-Power player will be assistant coach to Brady Walmsley for the 2019 Queensland Basketball league season.

'DG' Green played with distinction in a career which spanned 11 years and included a career-high haul of 38 points against Bundaberg.

"I'm excited to be a part of the Power program again," a delighted Green said.

"I'm looking to help inspire pride in the jersey which has meant so much to me over the years.

"I hope to be a contributing member inside an environment which promotes hard work and competition."

Green is known as a straight shooter and Walmsley is thrilled to have him on board.

"I look forward to working with DG and know he will have a positive impact," he said.
