Power sign imports
MCDONALDS Port City Power men and women have had active pre-seasons with the signatures of gun players.
The women team have signed Markel Walker and she is a 6'1 guard/forward from the UCLA Bruins
"She has great rebounding and passing ability and had triple-double against Washington State with 14 points., 15 rebounds and 10 assists," Power spokesperson Chris Tucker said.
The men have a new import in Marvin Williams who will provide great strength to the side.
"Marvin Williams played three months this season in Japan, but had to leave at the end of January 2016 because he wasn't paid," his agent said.
"He's a real centre with great post moves, a super finished around the basket.
"He's a hard worker who has great size, uses his body well to box out and averaged 1 block in 20-minutes per game since he started college as a senior."
The men also have the services of Ray Willis and he said to be delighted to have another season at the Power.
Willis said newly-appointed coach Brian Waters will give the side structure.
"I don't know how the season will go, but the only thing that we can control is getting better everyday to put ourselves in a position at the end of the season to be the best we can," Willis said.
"As far as the coach, I would think Brian Waters would bring some kind of structure in terms of style of play and principles."
