Power fans get glimpse
BASKETBALL: Gladstone Port City Power and Rockhampton Rockets produced another thriller in their second and final practice game ahead of the QBL season.
For the second time in three nights, the Power powered home at Kev Broome Stadium 91-85 after scores were tied 82-all with just three minutes left.

Gladstone coach Brady Walmsley said the emphasis to improve in defence from Wednesday night's first trial game.
"The win was against a tough and a formidable and motivated opponent," he said.

"Our guys found a way to get the job done without star guard Matt Hancock.
"We had some amazing contributions on both ends, with a significantly improved defensive performance."
Walmsley said the Kev Broome atmosphere was brilliant and of a sign of things to come.

"It was amazing to have the opportunity to play in front of our home fans for the first time in 2018," he said.
"With a roster full of new faces, it was great to give our supporters a glimpse of what they can expect this season."
Port City Power play USC Rip City and Sunshine Coast Phoenix on May 5-6.
