Power bills earn flybuys points
QUEENSLAND AGL customers have collectively earned over 7.5 million flybuys points in just 17 weeks by linking their accounts and paying their power bills online thanks to AGL's partnership with flybuys launched in April.
The kind of rewards 7.5 million points would equate to could include 304 digital cameras, 330 pizza makers or 5,921 bottles of wine, as well as a host of other products available to redeem on the flybuys website.
Mark Brownfield, General Manager Marketing and Retail Sales says the new partnership has proved overwhelmingly popular with 26,988 Queensland customer accounts being linked to flybuys since the launch.
"In addition new customers have been taking advantage of a bonus offer to earn 10,000 bonus points by switching to AGL before the end of December," says Mr Brownfield.
"Queensland residents are drawn to the flybuys scheme because it recognises that every home is unique, which means families have the chance to choose their own rewards tailored to complement different lifestyles."
"At a time when many households are thinking about energy prices, Queensland residents are choosing companies that give back and show their appreciation for their custom. The AGL team is always seeking ways to thank its customers whether it be through free home energy audits, energy saving advice or rewards schemes like this one," says Mr Brownfield.
Under the program, every dollar spent by eligible customers on their AGL household energy bills will equate to one flybuys point1. New customers still have the chance to take advantage of the 10,000 bonus points offer by successfully switching their gas or electricity account to AGL online and satisfying eligibility criteria before 31 December 2012.
