PORT CITY Power has sent a frightening message to its opponent ahead of tomorrow night's grand final.

It cruised to victory in tonight's semi-final by 36 points against Northside Wizards.

The final score was 111-75.

"We knew that if we played anywhere near our best, we'd be able to win tonight," said Port City player-coach Jessica Bibby.

Northside Wizards played with intensity throughout the game, but it was clear they were outclassed by the relentless offence of Port City Power.

The game was effectively over at half-time with the home side leading 66-41.

At times, it seemed the Power were incapable of missing from the free-throw line.

It was difficult to find fault with the team's crushing performance, but Bibby said if there was one area that could be improved ahead of the grand final, it would be defence.

"Defensively, allowing them to score 75 (could be improved). We aim to keep teams around 60," she said. "I'm sure if we get that defence right, we will be hard to beat tomorrow night."

Port City Power will meet the Mackay Meteorettes in the grand final.
