Police work hard in region to remove drug dealers

ALL HAIL our police officers who are working hard to keep the lid on the dreadful scourge which is drugs.

It's a thankless task that our police do regularly.

Their efforts are certainly appreciated by society, but no doubt they continue to need a huge amount of help in their quest to remove the drugs culture from our community.

Drugs and violence these days go hand in hand - a fact that is graphically shown in the recent arrests where high powered rifles and other tools of violence were located.

The people who involve themselves in drug dealing deserve every single thing that's thrown at them by the law.

These people are ruining lives on a daily basis as they recruit new users and feed the habits who have been using for some time.

They take people with them on a downward spiral that is so, so difficult to get out of - and all in the name of greed.

They don't care who they trample over on the way - they are out to ruin people.

They need to be stopped, and every single one of us needs to help in that quest.
