Police service suspends officer in Central region

A POLICE officer from Central region, which takes in Gladstone, has been suspended from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.

The officer, who is suspended with remuneration, has been asked to submit within 14 days why they should continue to receive pay.

The officer is facing allegations of misconduct in relation to a number of disciplinary matters.

The QPS said the suspension did not mean the allegations against the officer had been substantiated.
