POLICE say they have "serious concerns" for the safety of a missing girl who has disappeared with her father.

They renewed a call for public help in finding the four-year-old girl and her father who went missing from Pottsville last Saturday.

The pair, 35-year-old Greg Hutchings and his daughter Eeva Dorendahl, was last seen on Pottsville Road about 12.30pm on Saturday.

Despite being due to meet family, including the Sunshine Coast mother of the girl, the pair did not arrive.

Police have received several reported sightings of the two but these later were discounted.

Police from the Tweed Byron Local Area Command are still investigating the incident, but have not been able to confirm any sightings since they disappeared.

Strike Force Beadle has been established to investigate the disappearance, and investigate what police described as "large volumes of public information" that was supplied.

Police are still appealing for more help to investigate the case, expressing concern for the welfare of Eeva and urging Greg to contact the authorities.

Greg was described as Caucasian, 175cm tall, with short brown curly hair and of a thin build, while Eeva was also Caucasian, thin, and with long blonde hair and blue eyes.
