POLICE investigating the suspicious death of a woman at Goondiwindi last month have released CCTV footage showing the woman with a man in the hours leading up to her death.

The body of 24-year-old Alexis Jeffrey was discovered on the bank of the McIntyre River on Sunday March 16.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen the couple walking hand-in-hand on Marshall St between 2am and 3.30am on that Sunday morning.

The footage was taken from a local hotel and shows the couple in the process of walking towards Memorial Park.

This is the last known sighting of of the deceased woman, Alexis Jeffrey.
