Police received tip off for Gladstone home raid

Editor's note: The Observer would like to clarify that the house next door to the one involved in the search, number 22 which was previously pictured, was not involved in the raid. The Observer apologises for any confusion and distress caused. 

UPDATE 12.55pm:

Police and detectives have left Mycumbene Way following a search warrant earlier today. 

A CIB officer said detectives received a tip off this morning. 

A Mycumbene Way resident said a white ute ranger left the premises shortly before police arrived at the address.

UPDATE 10.35am: 

RESIDENTS at Glen Eden said the search warrant at Mycumbene Way has been ongoing since 8am. 

Multiple officers, border control and detectives are on scene carrying out a search warrant at the address. 

A Mycumbene Way resident said a white ute ranger left the premises at 8.10am, and 10 to 15 minutes later police and border control arrived at the address. 

He said he had seen a lot of vehicles arriving and departing at the address prior to today's search warrant.

INITIAL 9.37am:

A RAID is underway at a Glen Eden home at Gladstone.

A huge police presence is on scene at the Mycumbene Way home with a number of police vehicles in attendance and multiple officers and detectives.

Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch have confirmed they are carrying out a search warrant.

Reports on the scene said there was four to five police cars, some unmarked.
