Police notice an increase in the use of synthetic urine

AN INCREASING number of CQ workers are using fake urine to beat drug tests, the region's police crime co-ordinator says.

Acting Detective Inspector Ben Carroll said police had noticed an increase in the use of synthetic urine, particularly in the coal fields.

Detective Inspector Carroll said miners and other industry workers were looking to urine that is fake or "borrowed".
from someone who is clean.

He said the rising problem was common throughout all industries.
