AMBER ALERT: Two boys located safe and well in Hendra

UPDATE 12.05pm:

THE two boys at the centre of an Amber Alert issued by Queensland Police have been found safe and sound in Hendra, north-east of Brisbane.

A QPS media spokesman said it was too early to say whether public assistance had led to the location of the two boys, and it was also too early to say whether there were or would be any charges laid against a 29-year-old man who the boys were believed to be travelling with from Victoria.

We'll update with any developments later today.

Earlier:

THE Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate two boys, a 2-year-old and an 11-week-old, who were taken from Victoria on May 4.

It is believed the boys are now in Queensland, in a car with a 29-year-old man known to them

Police have received information today to suggest the boys may be at significant risk.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a solid build, approximately 185 centimetres tall with sandy-blonde hair and blue eyes.

The car is described as a grey Holden Commodore station wagon with Queensland registration 100TRR and may be driving between the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, possibly on the Bruce Highway.
