Police investigate thefts from houses, vehicles

GLADSTONE police are investigating a series of thefts from homes and vehicles that occurred over the weekend.

A black 32gb Samsung tablet was stolen from a vehicle in the Gladstone CBD.

Initial investigations suggest an offender entered the vehicle during the day and stole the tablet.

Police said initial investigations indicated the person may have been driving a light-coloured 4WD, possibly an old model Pajero wagon.

Cash was stolen from a vehicle parked in the rear car park of the Stockland Shopping Centre.

The driver's side window of the vehicle was damaged to gain entry.

A black and green mountain bike, a black 10ft fishing rod with a gold-coloured reel, and a black skate helmet were stolen from an address in Golding Street, Barney Point, overnight on Saturday.

An iPhone and iPad were stolen from a house in Butler St, New Auckland.

And two wallets were stolen from a car in a car park on Springs Road, Agnes Water.

One of the wallets was found discarded nearby.
