Police investigate thefts from houses, vehicles

GLADSTONE police are investigating a series of thefts from homes and vehicles that occurred over the weekend.

A black 32gb Samsung tablet was stolen from a vehicle in the Gladstone CBD.

Initial investigations suggest an offender entered the vehicle during the day and stole the tablet.

A burglar entered a house on Ironbark Avenue in New Auckland and took a black Hisense television. 

Police said initial investigations indicated the person may have been driving a light-coloured 4WD, possibly an old model Pajero wagon.

Cash was stolen from a vehicle parked in the rear car park of the Stockland Shopping Centre.

The driver's side window of the vehicle was damaged to gain entry.

A black and green mountain bike, a black 10ft fishing rod with a gold-coloured reel, and a black skate helmet were stolen from an address in Golding Street, Barney Point, overnight on Saturday.

An iPhone and iPad were stolen from a house in Butler St, New Auckland.

And two wallets were stolen from a car in a car park on Springs Road, Agnes Water.

One of the wallets was found discarded nearby.
