Several passengers can be seen hurling abuse at a group of young women who were reportedly singing at the back of the bus.

A bus window was also smashed when the assailants left the bus.

A woman, believed to be a victim in the incident, made a formal report to police on Thursday.

Detectives from the Transit and Public Safety Command Crime Investigation Unit have identified a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Hampton Park, who are alleged to have been involved in the incident.

Both have been interviewed by police and were released pending further inquiries.

Investigators are eager to speak with the man seen in the video abusing the woman while talking on his phone and are urging him to come forward, or for anyone with information regarding his identity to contact police.

Police have already received a number of calls from members of the public in relation to this incident.
