Teen charged with dangerous driving after stealing car

GLADSTONE Police caught a 16-year-old at the Benaraby-Tannum Sands roundabout at noon on Tuesday after he had allegedly stolen a vehicle from New South Wales.

The youth was picked up after driving off without paying for fuel at BP Bundaberg, and was reported to be overtaking dangerously as he headed north in a 2012 Hyundai sedan.

He was taken into custody and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Investigations are continuing and NSW police will deal with other offences allegedly committed by the teenager.
