Police call for witnesses after two men were bashed

POLICE investigating an assault in Gladstone last month are appealing for help from the public.

The incident happened about 7.30pm on Saturday, June 27 as two men were walking from a hotel on the Dawson Hwy through a car park after a day at the races.

Two other men got out of a vehicle and punched both men in the head.

As a result a 23-year-old man suffered a broken jaw and facial injuries.

The two offenders fled to a vehicle and were last seen on the Dawson Hwy heading towards the Gladstone CBD.

The 23-year-old was taken to hospital and continues to receive medical treatment.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have information to contact them.
