Police call for witnesses after man threatens group in car

POLICE have called for witnesses to come forward after a man was reportedly threatening and abusing people in a car in Marten St, Gladstone, on Wednesday.

The public nuisance incident happened around 12.24pm and was reported to police at 1.20pm.

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call Gladstone police on 4971 3222 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

In other police news, a 21-year-old man will face court after being caught allegedly drink driving.

The man was breath tested in Glenlyon St, Gladstone at 12.22am on Thursday and allegedly recorded 0.146.

A 54-year-old man will face court after being intercepted allegedly drink driving in Cupania St, Kin Kora.

The man was intercepted in a Ford Falcon at 12.30pm on Tuesday, and returned an alleged BAC reading of 0.051.

He will appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court at a later date.

A wallet and backpack were stolen from a vehicle on Kingfisher St, Gladstone, on Tuesday.

The theft was reported at noon. It is unknown how thieves gained entry to the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gladstone police or Crimestoppers.

A Holden Commodore sedan was intercepted on the Dawson Hwy, Calliope, at 11.30am on Wednesday.

A 31-year-old woman had her vehicle impounded for seven days and was issued a notice to appear for repeat disqualified driving.

She will appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court at a later date.
