Gladstone police busy with public nuisance offenders

GLADSTONE police were kept busy over the weekend, issuing numerous public nuisance charges.

An 18-year-old man was charged with public nuisance after an incident allegedly involving him behaving in a disorderly way at 10pm on Saturday on Dawson Rd.

At 12.25am yesterday a 20-year-old man was charged with public nuisance in Goondoon St.

Shortly after at 1.50am a 41-year-old man was charged with public nuisance on Yaroon St.

At 3.15am a 25-year-old man was charged with public nuisance after an incident involving allegedly threatening behaviour on Glenlyon St.

A 23-year-old male was charged with public nuisance by police at 3.50am on the corner of Roseberry and Goondoon Sts.

Public nuisance offences are dealt with in the Magistrates Court.

The maximum penalty for the offence of public nuisance is 10 penalty units or 6 months imprisonment.
