UPDATE: Man in cuffs over Central Lane armed robbery
A 27 year old Gladstone Central man will face the Gladstone Magistrate Court today on charges for violently assaulting two female bar staff at the Central Lane Hotel.
The man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, enter premises to commit indictable offence, supplying dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected of having been acquired to commit a drug offence and possess utensils.
Investigations are continuing.

GLADSTONE police has broken its investigation into two men who violently assaulted two female bar staff at the Central Lane Hotel wide open.
Police confirmed today that a man has been arrested and charged over the violent assault and armed robbery.
At this stage the identity of the 27-year-old man is not known but Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch did say the man will appear in Gladstone magistrates court tomorrow.
It's understood the man who has been arrested was the man who can be seen in CCTV footage released by police entering the hotel brandishing an axe and violently kneeing two female staff members in the head before fleeing.
Central lane Hotel owner Rick Adams said the man was known to the hotel and the staff members he assaulted.
Mr Adams said he was disappointed by this revelation but over the moon by the swift investigation by Gladstone police.
He said the arrest and charges laid on the man would help with the recovery process of his two staff members.
POLICE have released more CCTV footage today in a bid to close in on two men who violently assaulted two female bar staff at the Central Lane Hotel on Monday.
The footage shows two men who may be able to assist police with investigations into the matter.

The first clip shows a man wearing dark clothes walking past the hotel at around 1.15am, only 15 minutes before the armed robbers forced their way in and stole between $10,000 and $15,000 in cash.
The man can be seen coming from the top of the Yarroon St, bending down and picking something up in front of the hotel, and continuing on down Yarroon St.
In the second clip another man can be seen walking past the front door of the hotel at around 6.30am, while cleaners mill about. Police believe this second man delivered a package to the hotel at this time which may lead to the identity of the suspects of the armed robbery.

The contents of the package is unknown.
Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said both men could assist police with their inquiries and urged the men to come forward and speak to police at Gladstone.
