Receiver's sale mansion attracts plenty of buyers

A FOUR bedroom Gladstone home with an indoor swimming pool and a huge block of land is causing a stir among home buyers in the region.

The Mount Rollo Rd home, which is going under a receiver's sale, has had the most buyer interest seen in five years according to Ray White's Derran Corke.

The sales consultant said he had showed more than 120 groups the home in the past two weekends.

He said the interest was partly prompted by the sevenacre block and the views of the Gladstone Harbour.

The home was built in 2008 by a Gladstone builder and has three bathrooms, an indoor pool and a separate granny flat boasting the fourth bedroom.

From the comments received, Mr Corke still isn't expecting the home to break the million-dollar mark.

"It's an amazing home," he said.

"There's no comparable sales to this because it's so close to Gladstone but you have such great privacy.

"The response has been overwhelming, it's unheard of to have 60 groups view a home in one weekend.

"The area has always been popular so we knew it would have a good response."

The 500sq m home is on Mount Rollo Rd at O'Connell. It will go for auction at the Grand Hotel on September 27.
