Playgroup expands range of fun
THE Mumz and Bubz playgroup at Cedar Galleries is about to become about more than just children's play.
Big plans are in store for the playgroup, which this year will operate on a weekly basis on Fridays from 9am - noon at a cost of $5 per child.
The relaunch of the playgroup for 2012 took place on January 20 and local parents are invited to come along and see what fun is to be had at Mumz and Bubz.
Cedar Galleries co-owners Angela Scheers and Sandy Walsh have big plans for the playgroup, including new craft activities for the children and their parents.
Ms Scheers said Mumz and Bubz was about providing a venue each week for local families where they could enjoy the natural bushland setting while the children could have fun on the jumping castle and feed the peacocks, alpacas and other animals.
She said they had plans to have a messy play day once a month where children were asked to wear their old clothes and enjoy painting or playing with clay.
"We are also going to offer craft activities for not only the kids but mums," Ms Scheers said.
"They will be able to learn a new craft and come away with a finished product in an hour.
"We are also contemplating clothing swap meets - our venue would be great for this."
