Maroons fan shows love with wheeling good merchandise
SANDIE Wright is crazy about the Maroons, so crazy she has decked her car out with personalised State of Origin plates.
When she first saw a car with the plates on a drive, Mrs Wright was immediately telling her husband, Graham, she was investing in a set for her own car.
"As soon as I saw them I went 'Oh yeah, Queensland number plates'," she laughed.
"I love this time of year, it gets everyone behind them."
Making plans for Wednesday night, when the 100th clash of New South Wales and Qld takes place, Mrs Wright is bouncing off the walls in anticipation.
The plates are just one part of a long list of supporter items she has decked out work and home with, saying the whole car will be done one day.
"If I could do it, I would do the car up with a cane toad on the bonnet and 'Queenslander' down the side," she said.
It was the famous Billy Moore cry which originally grabbed the attention of Mrs Wright, and eventually led to the making of her personalised plates.
"All the Queensland-type ones were gone; it stands for Graham, Sandie and Alex, my son, and 26 is my birthday," said Mrs Wright, who then predicted the 100th match would go to Qld.
"We will smash them; I like to think it will be close but we will pull away and win by 14."
