Plan for revenge backfires after man is fined in court

ONE drunken man's plan for revenge backfired after he landed himself in court this week.

On Saturday, October 30, Hayden Jack Armstrong De Vries was drinking at the Central Lane Hotel.

After one too many drinks, he was evicted from the premises.

De Vries was not happy he had to leave, so on his walk home he damaged a wooden fence on Central Lane.

He thought it was at the house of the hotel's owner.

He appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to one count of public nuisance.

He was fined $375. A conviction was recorded.
